As an MDA Vice President, Curt Shumard is responsible for the development, management, and servicing of the specialties of Primary Care, Hospitalist, Oncology, and the SubSpecialties of Internal Medicine.

Originally from Ohio, Curt graduated from Oklahoma Christian University with a B.S. in Management. He began his career at MDA in 1989, where he has held positions in operations, risk management, and locum tenens recruiting. In 1990, Curt took a two year sabbatical, during which time he and his wife worked with the Medical Mission project PREDISAN in the outback of Honduras, an organization for which he currently serves on the Board of Directors.

When not coaching baseball, basketball, or soccer teams for any of his three sons, Curt enjoys spending time boating and camping with his family.
